Icons

 



 The icons I have chosen are; Facebook, You Tube, and iTunes. Facebook is a world wide social network that allows you to connect with everyone in the world. Since it's start up it has become a staple for communication, not only for teenagers but for all of us. You Tube has become the "go to" for watching videos of all genres such as, music, stunts, and do it yourself. Without You Tube children of today may not know what a music video actually is. The third and final icon is iTunes, this is a site where you can download a song or album of your choice for a small fee without having to go to a "brick and mortar" store.

I chose Facebook because it is the most popular social network that is available for reconnection and communication. Having the ability to search for former friends and family has allowed for social growth and a sense of healing for some that are having a difficult time in their life. A lot of people  feel Facebook is an outlet for people to vent their problems and issues but, I feel you take what you want from it. You Tube is another social outlet that has become apart of everyday life, I chose it because of the variety of information you can get from the videos that are posted. As I stated in the previous paragraph without You Tube the children of today may not know what a music video is, they don't have the access to the outlets I did as a kid with MTV and VH1 that feature the videos of their favorite band. iTunes is one of my favorites, not only can you pick and choose what song you want to own, without buying the entire album, but you can choose when you want them.

If you have read my blog, so far, you can tel I love music and all the components that make each song. Without, some, music we wouldn't be able to express ourselves through words, dance, and emotion. With that being said, the icons I have chosen enable me to experience the feeling that comes with enjoying the beats, the sound, and the raw power that your senses develop when you feel the emotion in a song that captures you.
